Die geheim met "wildlife" fotos is vroeg opstaan terwyl die lig sag is en BAIE BAIE geduld. Een of ander tyd gaan hy vir jou posseer vir 'n foto en dit is net op daardie oomblik wat jy gereed moet wees om die knoppie te druk. Ek herhaal, Geduld is die wagwoord.

Not sure how this one eluded points. I love the POV, and how her sweet little face fills the frame. Looks like it may have been late day sun--my favorite for those special beach shots. If you post a larger view, we can enjoy it more!

Hi Dennis! Great idea for a shot and thanks for the interesting and informative note. The point of view for this is great because you got the stone building and the tower itself at an angle, so that the angle of the stone house seems to "point" to the tower in the background. Good balance between three main subjects, the sign post, the tower, and the building. Good use of natural lighting that brings stark contrasts and creates a nice balance between light and dark. I would recommend perhaps sharpening the shot as it looks a little soft or out-of-focus. What were your shutter speed and aperture? Although it would be bad to crop out the top of the mast beam of the ship behind I find that there is a bit too much sky at the top that disrupts the continuity of the composition. Maybe what you could do is make the mast beam a little darker by burning it so that it pops out more and makes more sense. Also try to add a bit more tonality by darkening the shot just a little bit. Great shot though, thanks for sharing!
