Fantastic portrait Sabine, the lady has such a contagious smile ,there is enough depth to show her asian features , hum her gleaming eyes among other things ,love the sparkling catchlights here , hard to estimate her age but that is not important , she exprersses joy and contentment of the moment . No wonder, Hoi An is the perfect place to get exciting photographs ,look at the wondeful people that live there , she is the perfect exemple of friendliness extended to visitors , thanks Sabine for sharing this photo ,
Greetings from Canada,

Hi Angela,
Quite a capture here , i' m impressed by the clarity and sharpness of this photograph, it makes me wonder how this sizeable creature is able to hold on to such a frail and tiny twig ,i know gravity will get the frog to slide off it soon.... your title appears so appropriate in this case ! Light from the flash was well controlled ,it stands out so well from the dark BG. Rated 10 for me, worthy of National Geographic , my type of photography .Bravo for this one!

Omg it's rolling slowly down the alley maybe but judging by the position of the ball no pin is going to stay up well from your point of view unless it starts to curve away at the last second like the pros , ha ha ! Good throw young man and you caught him sitting and waiting patiently for the ball to get there , for the result , cool shot , cool blue , the kind of phosphorescent blue that will remain 'pinned' in my head too , lol! I like this,
Fine posting Lisa ,

Hi Dilshan,
So there goes the story he he , just this one time dad , this has put a smile on my face . She has such a sweet expression , oh yes in difficult lighting , i do as you did , i turn to B&W in those cases, well that 's one sure way out of weird tones and hues i reckon .
Sweet and smart girl , she's cute ! Great moment shared here
Thank you,
Carol
Oh my goodness, what's going on with you , he he , it's a fine turn around for you , from B&W to color , from architecture to close-ups , well i think i like what you did here , you cropped it by how much , hard to imagine that you used a zoom( 150 mn) on your main subject or else you were very very far , anyway i like the clarity and sharpness but you ought to crop some more to make them a bit more prominent in your frame , hi hi , the thing is i know that you can take shots like this easily and more often you should make really ! It's just that i 'm not used to this type of shots from you , thus the 'surprise ' ....hi hi !
Nice saturation , a tad more contrast to make your butterfly and bee ?? stand out from the BG , pleasant stuff to look at my friend and do keep them coming , yesssss surprise me some more and have i boosted your confidence a little ,,,,hum , i think so ,,lolol!
Cheers ,
Carol
Simple and effective presentation Vera, nice silhouetting effect with only the light from the lamps and threatening skies to give that little drama to this evening scene , most interesting is the fine observation that initiated the whole capture itself, it takes a good eye to see this , i like your work ,
Carol
Hi David,
Falls the way i like them , smooth and silky , i would have gone with the iso 80 too , gee noise creeps up in mine when i go higher, the blue tinge of the water conjures up , conveys a sensation of coolness and dampness in the surrounding air , sounds like a jewel of a place in some remote corner of the forest , enjoyable view indeed,
Thanks for sharing ,
Carol
Thanks for clarifying the variety of your lemon tree Janice , first i thought that what i was seeing in the BG looked more like an orange ,surely not as yellow as the one i use in my kitchen , hi hi , but now i know what it is and thanks to your informative note, well i could make use of it here, Gee i wonder why i have never seen a Meyer lemon at the market , i'm taking note of this !
Nicely presented , sharp and i like the flower that grows here on this tree it's kind of cute frankly, i understand why you could not be without one in your garden ,
Thanks for the note Janice,
Carol
Hi Ali,
Very special capture , something different from the normality of shots on this site , i can see the rivulets produced by the beads of sweat running down the person's cheek and neck, now that's sweating ! Oh I did sweat a lot myself visiting Brunei last May , he he , how humid it can get ,it's beyond what i ever experienced before, he he ,
Tfs ,
Carol

Hey Trudy , you kept that one for yourself for too long ! Ha , he's a handsome little boy , well he must be running around the house like Speedy Gonzales at 17 months , OH he's so serene in this shot ,well aren't babies immensely photogenic at this age , oh ya ! The natural light falls and plays softly on his tender skin and the B&W is a good choice here too , not too contrasty , just fine i think . Brennan has a lovely mom and she's expecting a second one , just marvellous ! You've got an excellent entry for today's theme ,congrats and thank you for sharing this little one with us my friend ,i look forward to seeing more of him .
Buenas noches amiga,
Carol
