Een mooi portret van Li Yan en -hoewel nog onzichtbaar- Caroline, David. Kleuren en belichting zijn ok, ik zou echter iets meer van de rechterkant wegcroppen om geen achtergrond meer te zien aan de onderkant.
Gefeliciteerd met de grote veranderingen in jullie leven!

Mmm... niet helemaal mijn ding, Erik, en wel hierom: de ontbrekende hand, je foto staat m.i. niet helemaal recht, én je model kijkt net iets te ver weg van de lens. Haar neerwaartse blik vind ik wel geslaagd, de belichting trouwens ook. Met curves kun je de highlights iets verduisteren, dat zou wel eens kunnen helpen, maar in feite is dat ietsiepietsie overbelichte haar dus zeker geen probleem.
Iets anders: zo'n mooi model vraagt om een portret in close up! (Wij "estheten" ook, trouwens ;o))

Tja Jan, je kent m'n mening al over deze foto en... Erik is me voor op tl, dus... kan ik nog maar 1 ding toevoegen: croppen links en bovenaan, zo verdwijnt die halm links en boven die storende bloem.
Qua scherptediepte en saturatie hoor je mij niet klagen hoor. Goed genoeg, én: prachtige scherpte! Maar met dit type lens mocht dat dan ook geen probleem zijn.

Celle-ci me plaît beaucoup plus, Danielle. L'autre photo, plus coupée, ne montre pas l'origine des cactus, et le ciel en haut c'est dommage; je pense que j'aurais placé l'affiche entièrement dans le coin haut à gauche.
C'est une vue extraordinaire en tout cas. Certainement une photo nécessaire dans l'album de votre voyage. Et j'aime bien la composition choisie.

That clarify filter is something I miss in PS, though the same results can be achieved by a few manual steps... Anyway, this is a perfect subject for it and you used the filter well.
I like the retro look of the vw-bus and how the owners blended that with the modern surfboards they use as a counter and as their shop sign. The people in the back are a little disturbing, especially on the left hand side. Around the sign on top of the bus there's an almost rectangular piece of black(ish) hues, couldn't you avoid that?

I can never resist a sunrise/sunset shot, and I like the compo you used here, Jimmy; the horizon is off-centre and that's cool. Nice frame too, it suits the subject. One nit-pick is the horizon which is not entirely level imo. A wee bit of levels & curves might enhance the contrast and saturation some more, though they're nice as they are too.

I like the light in this shot, Murray: strong on the right hand side, faded on the left. The picture shows a very good depth too. One nit-pick is the reflected light on the chair's leg near the left bottom frame: some burn brush should have cured that IMO.

Onderbelichting wérkt in landschapsfoto's zoals dit, Erik, dat heb je goed gezien. Bekijk de foto's in NGM maar eens... bijna allemaal onderbelicht, zelfs portretfoto's. Pre-processing is vaak ook beter dan post-processing, je moet er alleen de tijd voor nemen/hebben.
Mooi landschap, goeie compo en vooral een uitstekende scherpte overal in beeld.

I think the composition could be very much enhanced by cropping more from the left, the top and a wee bit of the bottom, Dilek. A centered subject hardly ever works. Also, the horizon is not level, you should have corrected that in PP. The colours look great, the absence of disturbing elements in the water is great.

Sommige mensen willen gewoon alles wegcroppen... maar ik vind dit een goeie compo, Pedro. Deze high key benadering van een "babyportret" is best wel mooi ook. Wat een blauwe kijkers!
