Hi,
You have a fine composition here, with depth and foreground detail. Thanks,
Dougie.

Hi,
An excellent composition John, producing fine depth and leading lines into the picture. Lots to look at. Thanks,
Dougie.

Hi,
Not too bad...you can still capture the essence of far away animals and birds without a super-zoom tho'...this would have worked well as a silhouette, and at a shorter focal length with more background, against the sea as long as you got the typical 'drying wings' pose and waited until both wings were clear of the rocks... thanks.

Hi,
Not too bad I think, if your first attempt at stage shots. But, the point of view is poor. The face is ok but both hands missing, the fretboard covered by a mike the obscuration from the music stand and whatever that thing in the top right is, makes the rest of the image uninteresting. Looks like it might have been better taken from low on the other side. What a difference if you could see that she was actually playing it. If things look like they are going to get in your way and you've been asked to do the shoot then ask if they can be moved slightly.
As for noise and stuff...visable but not too bad although I wouldn't agree that it's a 'totally noiseless image' and don't know how a 30D performs in the red bleed. Looks like there was tons of light. 'Discussions' with lighting engineers are endless and the act may have dictated what they want anyway. Sometimes you are lucky to get a 60 watt bulb and they always insist on having one of these red things somewhere and it bleeds through everything. There are adjustments you can make to your camera setup to minimise or remove it on a jpg shot. Takes some experimentation to find them.
Not a bad lens for this. The IS can take about 1/2 sec to lock in after focus which can be too late. Be fine for a website. Best of luck at the next one. Thanks.

Hi,
Good one! You got the light at a fine angle to show the textures on the plants and the perspective is enhanced by the size reducing into the distance. Thanks.

Hi,
very good work! Always important to get the hands in shot with instruments and the focus on the eye is good. The side light is very effective. Thanks.

Hi,
Great splash of colours here and interesting shapes showing the contours of the landscape. I might have cropped off the bit at the top where the horizon appears since it gets a bit blurry up there but only a minor point. Thanks.

Hi,
Nicely done. Shows some imagination with the wide view and the feeling of space. I maybe would have made it absolutely straight, but just a minor point. Thanks.

Hi,
Good shot. Shows imagination. Maybe if you played with the channels and blending in conversion (if originally colour) then the eye might have come out just a bit clearer, but a minor point. One of the rare ones that doesn't really need a note....it's all in the superb title. Thanks,
Dougie.
