Great composition and lightning. I like the warm orange tones that you've created and the shady spirals on the fruit. Well done!

hi Henri,
this is a wonderful image. I just think that the left foreground is a little irritating. Maybe you should have used a double frame to make obvious where the flower ends.First a tiny black one and then the white. I't hard to see where it ends this way.

But I love the ray of light on the stamen casting a shadow. Good work.

Hi,
I like the idea but i
I think that your picture lacks a little contrast and correct lightening . It looks very dull.

I did a workshop to show what I mean.

Have a nice day, Heike

Cool!

Heike

What a surreal image...
I really like the levels of colour and contrast and whatever else you did in order to achieve this almost painting-like effect. Reminds me a little of the good old wizard of ozz movie with Judy Garland :)

Great effects,

thanks for sharing,
Heike

hi annie,
I had a stroll through your gallery and I have to say that I'm really impressed. You have a range of great images and this one I love the most. The silhouette of the beacon set in sepia is a lovely warm composition and the light reflectiong on the road adds to that. Usually I would think this part to be overexposed but in this case it totally fits in.
Wonderfully done,
Heike

Hi Sandor,
I like the idea of your image but I'm afraid I'v got some critique for you. The whole picture is far too overexposed and bright. You must have had a very sunny day! :)
I guess the plums should be yellow-orange rather than white on top and they aren't really in focus. What you've focussed on are the green leaves right in front. At least they have the best clarity. As I said, I like the idea and the choice of the branch with this composition of plums. But I think you should have changed contrast and brightness as well as colours in order to achieve a decent photo.

I did a workshop in order to show you what I meant. It's far from being perfect but it might give you an idea. :)
I hope you don't mind me playing with your image. Please let me know what you think of it,

Heike

Hi Jared,
a warm welcome to TL!

That's a fine image to start with! Interesting point of view and I like the dusted reflections on the bottles. The warm colouring adds nicely to the very clear structure of the glass.

Well done!

Have fun on TL,

Heike
