Hello Nicolas,
The light and the colours are lovely in your shot; the sun has really brightened the f/g whilst the b/g contrasts with mist and dullness.
Excellent composition, always a characteristic of your shots.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)
Hello Hans,
I see you are a fan of Monty Python, too!
I hadn't anything that would quite fit and, since Linda announced the theme, it has rained torrentially, so no chance to photograph!
I love your low pov capturing such effective use of the daisies. The gravestone and the cross are well placed in the frame and assume a good diagonal because of their relative heights.
The trees make good natural frames, helping to give this very lighthearted atmosphere; there is no sombreness in this shot!
Kind regards,
Bev :-)
Hello Linda,
Your pp work has really added 'atmosphere' to this shot!
The pov is very well judged.
The gravestones take on the impression of lonely souls, marching upwards to the light at the top of the hill. Certainly analogous.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)
Hello Chris,
This is just amazing, more fantasy than fiction!
Thank you for the opportunity to see this remarkable historical graveyard.
Under difficult conditions, you have captured a shot which gives good details and reveals colours, oranges and greens, which I would not have expected.
It is strange about the tripod ban!
I was not allowed to use a monopod in a museum in Germany and there were no crowds, vertually no people! But, like you, a flash was okay!
I reasoned that it was to prevent excellent quality phographs being taken which could possibly compete with the official merchandise. With me, I think they were being extremely speculative!
Kind regards,
Bev :-)
Hello David,
The panoramic format makes a leisurly advance towards the church giving plenty of opportunity to absorb the details along the way. The tree and the church tower balance the shot nicely.
There is a little tilt to the church which would be possible to correct if you have PS. Probably other programs would do it too but PS is the one with which I am familiar.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)
Hello Jean Jacques,
What a well-kept cemetery!
You are right. This is charming!
I like your composition, putting the pinnacle of the roof precisely in the gap between the two mountain slopes. The details in the f/g are well focussed and you have a well-judged dof.
Have a good w/e,
Bev :-)
Hello Vera,
Fine exposure on these beautiful flowers.
You have captured their shape, their colours and their smooth textures, very well.
I like the diagonal composition and the complementary borders.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)
Hello Paras,
What a busy scene!
I do believe that they target one colour on each journey ... maybe I'm wrong!
I like this. It rekindles warm memories of sitting in the garden listening to the steady buzz of the bees.
You have captured some fine details of the bees, set against a nice oof b/g.
I like the shot even better with the bottom of the flower cropped so there is just the blue, the green and the bees. What do you think, Paras?
Have a good day,
Bev :-)
Hello Urs,
I just have the feeling that some travel magazine will be looking at this shot and coverting it for a future publication!
The early morning rise was worth all the effort.
The awakening sun, shooting its rays from behind the clouds, makes a powerful backcloth to this peacful scene.
I like the fact that you have your f/g triangle in the composition.
Have a good day,
Bev :-)

Hello John,
What a neat, well kept cemetery!
A lovely pov with two f/g triangles.
Sharp, detailed and with excellent perspective.
Have a good w/e,
Bev :-)
