Nice one Ralph - you've got the composition pretty well spot on with your Land Rover shots and the Topaz gives good colour..
Actually - stick some wheels on and it'll probably still go!!!! I had an old short wheel base one of these years ago - incredible set of wheels - and I could see the road through the rusted floor!

Well - you can use flash with animals.. Just diffuse it or bounce it!! Another thing you can do is to use diffused spotlights/reading lights - just set the white balance for tunsten! If you have to use direct flash put some cloth/tissue over the actual flash head!

Strong colour, simple composition and very sharp! Be interesting to shoot this with a slower speed too - maybe 1/3rd second.

Nice view Hans - caught the action well.. Good colour, fast shutter to freeze the water.. I'd have probably wanted to place the boat more to the right of the frame but definitely an interesting shot. But I knoe it's not easy to always get the subjects where you want them..

Got to have a go at this one day!!!

I guess the resident 'gator has gone into it's burrow for the win#$@#$% - ah that thing's got sharp teeth!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to say Pierre that there is no focal point in this photo - the eye wanders aimlessly around. There is an awful lot of nothing and a D300 should deliver a sharper image!
I would suggest a more panoramic crop and wait until there is better light as the light here is very drab!
The horizon is tilted about a degree left- that can be corrected in PS..

Good sharp and detailed photo - nice light and exposure.. The diffused light through the trees brings a nice colour to the leaves on the ground. Black frame makes the colour stronger too.
