Beautiful details - right into the grilles. I like the rhythms of the repeating pillars and the shadows with which they link into the passage. The composition creates an entrance that leads the eye to the focal point. Good work!

Simple. Elegant. Less is more. Superb photo.

Excellent portrait - The reflection in his sunglasses gives it the feel of knowing what he is thinking about. Excellent notes - thank you. You've given me a method to get the "ice white" to "pitch black" range.

Absolutely perfect - well done! This is the kind of photo I'd expect to see in National Geographic. I can almost guarantee good results if you enroll this pic in an international competition.

Beautiful avant garde shot. Good texture and focus. I like the rhythms of the hair contrasting against the form of the face. She looks placidly happy.

Great idea, well executed. This is the kind of creativity that photography needs - to boldly go where no ASA has gone before :) !!

Excellent idea Jens! I love it. This is the first time I've come across an original use of the chalk texture filter. You had me there for a moment until I read your comments. I thought it was a real chalk artist at work. Well done!

Great mood shot - I see two possible cd covers from this (squaring it left or right will do). I'd guess he was doing jazz???? Well seen, well captured.

An excellent expression. You couldn't set this up better in a studio! The technical side of the photo cannot be faulted. The range is from ice white to pitch black - as it should be for a B&W shot. Great detail and texture. As to the cropping - if you have to cut away (in this case the top of his headgear) do so aggressively. I'd crop away just above the headband and also get rid of the dead white space to the left. This will strengthen the composition a lot.

Postcard shot, beautiful. Never been there but after seeing this my lenses are screaming for attention! There are two intersecting diagonals here (corner to corner in a flat plane) and two subtle diagonals reaching into the scene (river lines). The whole composition is "inviting" the viewer into Brugges. The color hue and saturation softens the cold - a bluer hue would really chill the scene. Thanks for sharing this. It's great!
