This is well-captured, well-done, good lighting. High ISO did give a bit of noise to the back but the front ladies came out, well, picture perfect. TFS Cropping out or fuzzing the bg (darkened girls) might have been nice. TFS I have this camera and a similar lens though mine is IS USM which helps with an f-stop or two either way so I know it's capabilities.

I appreciate the circumstances of the shot, but this is an example where a careful pp would have done well to soften the overexposed face and give a bit more light to the shadowed areas. Midday is not the best time, but towards evening or early morning works great. Love her youthful expression. TFS

An excellent catch of this oft-photoed building. The lighting is gorgeous, mood interesting and alive. I heard on a History Channel show here that the four rivers or waterways coming out are based upon the garden in Eden. TFS

Well, I truly love that rug! Great picture of the young maidens. If the coloring had been better, I would have surely given it the full smileys, but for some reason they appear way too far on the red side of the spectrum. Oddly enough, the young lady on the far right looks like my daughter at that age. TFS

Lovely shot, Jens. Like the Thomas Kincaid look here as he always paints with the light backdrop. No obvious errors or any problems, just a great photo. Perhaps the centered nature might have lent itself to better use of thirds is the only suggestion I might have. TFS

Well, for once, I don't mind a bit of a lack of sharpness as it enhances the 'mistiness' of the scene along with the interesting sky color. It would be nice to see the other two castles mentioned in the note as well, especially the one I saw in a History Channel presentation. I've seen one other of a castle high up in the trees and looks positively foreboding in the right light. There was nothing else around it, however, and don't know which one it was. TFS Some interior shots would be cool as well, kind of like a 'tour.'

Hi Oana, wonderful and serious shot! The only thing that wasn't mentioned that I think would help is applying the 'rule of thirds' for these types of shots. Put your landscape horizon in the lower or upper third. (Take two shots at the same time with it both ways to see which looks better.) TFS I, too, when I used to fish with Dad, he'd catch his limit, I caught nothing. Yet I was in the same place...go figure. I've heard spraying the bait with WD-40 works great! (if you have that there--it has fish oil in it)

Wonderful Shot, Allan! Everything came out just right from the exposure to horizon level, thirds, compo, etc. TFS Nice mood created with the clouds as well.

Hi Jack, great shot here. The mood and tranquility is wonderful for this time of day. TFS Excellent pov and compo. Note would have been nice.

Nice shot, Ralf, nice balance, rule of thirds, great mood and feeling here. TFS Horizon is straight and level.
