Hello Roberto,
the name of this butterfly is
- Catonephele numilia
from the family Nymphalidae.
Best wishes, Peter
Hallo Thomas,
tolles Licht. Feine Details der zierlichen Blüte sind sichtbar.
Der Blickwinkel ist gut gewählt.
Fokus und Schärfe sind sehr gut, der Schärfebereich könnte etwas mehr Tiefe vertragen.
Best Grüße, Peter
Hello Jerome,
usually, I'm busy with TrekNature, but sometimes I also visit TrekLens.
With respect to your "Macro-Intentions", I recommend to have a look at TN.
The small skipper butterfly (family: Hesperiidae) is well focused but resolution and sharpness could be better.
Also, light is not well balanced.
Here you can find a skipper picture at TrekNature.
Best wishes, Peter
Hello ,
you just caught the mood of the landscape and on her face. A very harmonic composition. There is only a slight overexposure which, however, only marginally affects the atmosphere. A bit more space on the right and less on the left side would have been advantageous, in my opinion.
Best wishes, Peter
Hello Lurdes,
your picture shows a butterfly (look at the antennae which show a clubbed end). The species name is
- Cacyreus marshallii
- family: Lycaenidae
Some years ago you did not find this species in Portugal. It originates from South Africa and has spread over South Europe in recent years.
Best wishes, Peter
Hello Reid,
the species you show is
- Harmonia axyridis
a species of Coccinellidae not native to North America but originating from East Asia. Unfortunately, this species is not only the enemy of pests but also of the native Coccinella species. In the last years it has also spread over Europe and tries to substitute our Coccinella septempunctata.
Best wishes, Peter

Hello Paul,
really a nice scene you captured. Due to the sharpness of the picture, it appears that
the two communicate with each other based on their facial expression!
Well selected point of view and exact focus.
Best wishes, Peter
