Perfect exposure on your son's face. Natural expression. Good texture of skin. Beautiful eyes.

Watch for distracting highlights: Top right corner, background bottom right corner and hand (which is a bit too blurry). I have done a quick WS, please take a look.

Great portrait with the subject looking directly at the camera. The eyes are very sharp and expressive. The pose looks natural.

It is amazing how the different colours blend together in harmony. The orange of the turban can be found also in the stripes of the shirt and in the background.

There is evidence of past skin problems as you mention in your note. My first impression was that you had sharpened the face and as a result this increased the skin imperfections. Did you sharpen the face at all? (Sorry, I had to ask. Smile!)

I agree with your comment to messenger1 regarding the B&W workshop. Although the image looks good too in B&W, it is missing the life and vibrancy that the colours bring.

Well done, Manuj.

Great composition with good leading lines. The contrast between the cloudy sky and the rest of the landscape as well as the ripples on the water render perfectly the atmospheric mood of the northern landscape.

Clever idea. The black 1/2 frame and the black right corner control firmly the flow of cups and saucers. Perfect title. Well done, Brian.

Hi Usaf,

From the title you chose, the PP work you did and the note you wrote (Is it a quote or did you made it up?), I cannot figure out what your intention was with this image. I have the feeling that you do not like this photo. Or perhaps for some reason, it does not speak to you (maybe that's why you gave it the title "Unknown".

I have read your reply to rewshearer. I agree that it is very hard to have your subject look towards the camera, especially when you don't want him to know that you are taking his picture and lose the natural effect. The fact that is is not facing the camera does not bother me. The harshness of the image (colour, highlights, detail on neck) does.

As for blown highlights, underexposing a bit would have prevented it somewhat. Too late now but I think that in this case, your photo would look better in black and white. I did a workshop, please take a look.

Please note that when writing on TL, complete words for "YOU", "ARE", etc. are better. Hope you don't mind me telling you that.

Powerful image, Shelly. Great composition putting the emphasis on the barber's serious concentration. The contrast of skin tones is wonderful and brings an almost 3D quality to the image. The expression of the guy who is getting his hair cut is priceless. Nice background. Good sharpness. I notice a sort of a halo along the edge of the "client"'s face, is that due to sharpening?

Enjoy your vacation.

Composition intéressante. Bonne couleurs et netteté. Belle fleur dans un beau cadre = une jolie carte pour les Pâques ou autre occasion. Bravo.

I like the idea, Michael. Colors and textures are very good. The background is nice.

The aperture you used did not give you enough DOF to have all the garlic in focus. Also, the cloves need more room at the top (and a bit more at the bottom) to ... "breathe". Smile.

Very realistic and tempting. Perfect exposure and sharpness. I agree that the clear glass plate was a perfect choice.

Those don't look like they came from California. Am I right?

Intéressant et amusant. Bon angle de vue. TFS.
