the harmony between the wood and the leaf is great as is the lovely tones in this. One downside for me is the area of harsh lighting (top left) which just takes a little away fom the image. Maybe a reflector to the opposite side would have reduced the harshness with a different shutter/apperture combo.

Loving the mystery of the girl modelling in this image. B&W suits the subject well and the subtle lighting on the model highlights in all the right places. Nice work!!

Good work in keeping a reasonable level of sharpness throughout the whole scene. With such close attention being payed to the bark of the foreground tree it's surprising how sharp the rest of the image is especially at F8. Great textures and nice compostion!

Hi Hans

Brilliant POV, I thought it was some kind of model, the trees look artificial with the giant swan dominating the scene. Very sharp throughout the image with lovely summer colours in the sky and landscape. Excellent work all round Han's, nice to see something a little different around here.

I'm struggling to see your intentions here. The artistic merit is lost in the fact I cant see anything worth talking about. I'm pretty sure this image would fair well against anything else around here, however I would love to know your thinking behind this and maybe give me and others a chance to critique it fairly for it's own merit.

Hi Adrian

Overall this image is quite pleasing on the eye in terms of sharpness and composition, however, I feel, given that this was taken with a Canon 450D, the colours are so muted. To title the image "Colours of Autumn" is a little decieving, these colours should be jumping out and hitting the viewer smack between the eyes. A liitle tweeking of levels and saturation in Photoshop would address the problem. If you have no access to Photoshop any free or inexpensive software will also do similar processes. I still like the image and feel it would be greatly improved with just a few minor tweaks.

Hi Mark

Excelent first image here on TL. Love the muted colours in the sky and the models pose against it is fantastic. My issues with this picture is the right hand cut off and the fingers of the left hand. I feel it would have worked better if you had included the aforementioned along with a little more of the wall he used to balance from. I know I may be being super critical in this critique, however, it's only my opinion and it takes very little away from the creativity and execution used to capture this. I still think this is an excellent image with a little room for improvement.

Keep up the good work!

Hi Andrey
First let me congratulate you on a fantastic piece of work, it's obvious a lot of time and effort has been used to create such an original and distinctive image. To know more about the image I would love to know your lighting techniques and post processing techniques?
The young lady modelling for you here is a natural, her eyes and expression are perfect for the image as is her long straight hair that gently curls on her shoulders. The background stonework is also in my opinion perfect for the subject and lighting used. If I was to be critical in anyway to this image, it would be the overly warm colours used which renders it slightly unnatural, however, a stunning piece of art which deserves much more attention than it has already received. Congrats.

Beautiful warm colours in the sky, The silohettes of the fisherman are great and the overall simplicity of the photo works very well.
