Very clever picture, I think the composition and general atmosphere are successful. The moon is fun, adds to the big smile!
Very intense picture. I think that having only his face in focus, and having the red beside him adds to the intensity. The fact that she seems on a different level suggests that she is just not going to get through to him. Nothing seems likely to console. Hope he recovered. :-) Well done!
Nice picture Marc, You have disallowed workshops, I think - I only discovered this after cropping the bottom 20-25% from the picture, to remove some of the distractions in the foreground (the two rocks, in particular) and give the picture more balance and life - try it!
The combination of colours is excellent, creating mood. The rectangular environment and the rounded human form are a rewarding contrast. The man seems real, he seems puzzled by the physical world to which he is such a contrast.
When I go to art galleries and see 'installations' I often find myself looking instead at the wonderfully designed PRACTICAL objects in the gallery which you are not supposed to look at - the weather stations that monitor temperature and humidity, the fire hoses - and here, wow, the entrancing word Entrance!

Wonderful composition Yves. Nice work with the desaturation - the girl of course, looks thoroughly saturated! She alone seems to be having a really good time.
Hmmm... No one else has written... maybe they are embarrassed to ask just what that strange object is on the right there, Alex. I like the strange combinations of things, held together by incongruous parallels of form and colour. However, if the right hand picture (to return to the big worry) is actually a navel, encountered on a damp pavement in the morning, then - however mild the Vancouver climate - no, it's not ok to say "It's supposed to be like this until next year." Not good to stay there at all. :-) Best indoors and sponge the black hole under a warm shower.
Hi Lisa
This is a note to say that this is a fine photo, from the same wondrous photographer who takes all the other pictures which I admire for their energy, humour and style. I am sending this message to this picture of yourself, though it is meant as a compliment for all the others.
I don't think you need to worry about your elbow being missing from this picture. Otherwise, eventually someone will question the interesting difference between your eyes. I like the off centre style, all of your pictures seem to be on the move - stay off-centre!
Excellent picture - glad to hear from you something of what you did in 'fooling around.'
Despite great variety in your photos, there is a consistent quality of curiosity, pursuit of things that strike the eye. some here aim for art as art, some for photojournalistic surprises. You manage to produce some very satisfying images somewhere between...

What I see in that long dark line running across the middle is a herd of bison, tired of the BS altogether, sneaking back to live in the sea.
... perhaps thwarted by, at that right hand end, a stranded whale seeking enlightenment going the other way. One bison's bs is a another's breathless whale of a time...
