What a stunner Janice, I don't have a problem with the beak, this is all about those incredible eyes.
What an experence for you, quite a buzz I reckon.

Thanks for sending the 'links' recipe. I'll pluck up courage {Dutch maybe} and have a go later tonight.
Cheers,
Pete.

Hi Rew,
I can just picture you, shower cap and loofah, soaking in the tub ;)

Seriously, something really different, so well seen.
It always amazes me the DOF you achieve at such large apertures.
Maybe the smaller sensor in the 400D ???

Cheers,Pete.

Hi Shane,
Personally I think it was fortunate the lights were out.
The details under the bridge have detail and dimension that flat lighting would have destroyed.
Well seen, and well captured.
Peter.

Hi Ralph,
It's a good capture of the Harvard, but as you say, a little soft.
More due to focus than panning I would say.
I've done a WS for you, I think it works....pardon the pun.
Pete.

Simply stunning Janice, I've never seen such detail in a gannet,s eye before. Well done.
Is it a large crop, or did you manage to get quite close?
Pete.

Ralph, I can't fault this, ideal shutter speed to blur the background, and capture the complete arc of the prop.
Well done.
*%#@er my lens......
Cheers,
Pete.

Wow, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the exposure David.
This is classy travel brochure material.
I can't fault your composition either...I like it.
Cheers,
Pete.

Simply stunning Jan, the colours and those beautiful reflections are perfect.
I'm glad you included the cyclists, they add interest, and give scale.
My kind regards,
Pete.

Hi Jack,
I like the 'double exposure' really adds something to a stunning image.

I have been following your experiments, but typing was a real ordeal for me. I'm getting used to it now, hopefully it comes right after another op (fifth) in January.
Cheers, and have a great Xma.
Pete.
