The area it covers is more than the area alloted for the main subject. Too much of it distracts from the impact of your photo. A smaller square format with most of the leaves cropped out would be nice.

A beautiful shot of this golden colored beetle. I used to play with this when I was young. We call it "salaginto" in the Philippines. There is a lot of this in my hometown. Your photograph has good sharpness, good light and properly cropped.
