i like it a lot. very moody shot. BW is a very nice choice.

amazing details. there are two things that, i think, will improve this a lot:
1. HDR technique to take care of the overexposed parts
2. take a wider shot (horizontally or vertically) to capture more space.

i think it is very unfortunate that you had the focus only on the lower body part. it would have been excellent if the whole part in the frame is in focus.

i think this is way overprocessed. but this is purely a personal taste and i'm not a big fan of overprocessed photos.

flash shot really kills the photo. the uneven and harsh lighting give an unnatural look of the squirrel. some details look lost probably due to cropping?

i'm sorry it really does not work for me. the object in the FG is clearly blurred due to motion shake since you shot at 1/4 s. the colors on the BG are not vibrant. the yellow light in the middle dominates the whole composition. just my 0.02

nice moody picture but i think you have too much black space on the right. maybe capture more on the left side?

i am not a big fan of flash, especially when it comes to macro shots. the harsh lighting from the flash gives an unnatural shades and colors. but, you probably wouldnt be able to get the shot as sharp as this one without flash.

the atmosphere is great but it is very unfortunate that it lacks the clarity. it's probably due to camera shake or a heavily cropped image?
