We get these (and Sea trout) up the Esk here too.
I've tried to catch them on camera especially at one point they have to swim across a road at a ford and it's often only just deep enough!
They are so fast it's very hard to get a decent shot like you hope for.
I like this one, for composition it might work better with subject a little more to one side (usually the right if possible) - even by cropping.
Your unorthodox but intelligent framing here lends a sombre, thoughtful tone.
The restricted red and green colour palette also helps this simple yet meaningful image work very well.
This is pretty, it reminds me of particularly difficult jigsaw scenes.
There's a very sweet area of golden larch top left side, the slight softness is lovely.
I like the way they are all looking at you expecting food.
These are 'Mule' ewes in fact which are a cross between Swaledale ewes and Blue Faced Leicester ram.
White faced ones probably Texels.

The low sunlight illuminates it beautifully - shows so much detail.
