Silke,

A fantastic New Years shot! The candles have created some really interesting light on the flowers vase and glass. Since all light is comming from the bottom of the frame, this is a really new way to see things. I like the warmth and appreciate the wishes.

Happy '08!

Happy New Years, Ioana.

This is a beautiful composition and it is clear that you put great effort in to the set-up. I especially love the light being caught by the wine at the corner of the glass right under the "08." That is one of many beautiful highlights provided by your nice, soft light. Great work and a great '08 to you.

She sounds like a good model: and looks like one too. I like the easy smile and the light in here eyes. I also like that you have a bit of a skim light on the shoulder and end of her eface: those work well.

As a Canadian, I'm genetically predisposed to like hockey shots. This is a great moment that you have captured which isn't always easy with sports: you must be fast.

Great sharpeness: I love that I can even see the ice spray in the air!

I really like the mood you have created in this photo. Bridges mean "change" to me and since this bridge is covere din mist it is much like the new year: change that we can guess about but not know completely.

Your exposure works witht he fog very well and I also like the leading lines and the reflection you have captured.

Great!

Wow! I am now very envious of your 500mm! It is clear and your background blur is very smooth. I also like the bird's body which, with feathers, is very soft and smooth contrasted against a big beak that is very much like all the thorns. It works very well for me.

Wow - I love the strong reds. With such colour. this is a powerful photo that doesn't let you look away! The very gentle shadows are very nice as is the way the light goes through the decorations on the candle holder. Well done!

Your exposure creates a real sense of darkeness around the checkpoint which I think is appropriate. The sky looming so large makes me think of gettign away from there! The clouds are also very beautiful.

This is brilliant work. You've framed the eyes so excellently and with such interesting texture. I love how the tear seems muffled by the fact that her mouth is covered.
