this is actually the letter "A" of the early Croatian alphabet named "Glagoljica" similar to the Cyrillic alphabet. This statue along the others is placed around Baska, island Krk.In the chapel of St Lucy in the village Jurandvor (just outside Baska) the first written proof of Croatian literacy and it dates around 1100.

Now I officially envy you (not just Cam anymore)! :)
One thing I don't get , though. The mainsail add says Fly Emirates, on the bottom there's NZL written, the stern displays the Fern (NZ logo) but on the bow there's a BMW/Oracle logo???
Am I missing something or have they switched boats??
