Hi rew, this is not easy shot because of the black dress against the white curtain, you have to manage the metering very well.

rew, for outdoor shot, FL is very important.
My favorite FL for this kind of shot is 200mm and with large aperture depend of your lens.

But I found F5.6 is the max aperture to get the very good image.

I will show you what I mean.

You see, capture model with full body and nice bokeh is the target for outdoor shot, then make it your standard.

I shot this with my Hoya 200mm/F3.5 at F5.6, this is fix but manual lens, my uncle bought it about 30 years ago.

I hope you understand what I mean.

ps: I know your trouble with the sharpeness at large aperture with your sigma, because, honestly, that lens is not for model shot.

You need something like 70-200/f2.8 lens, 180mm or 200mm lens.

But kristy looks very professional, her pose is very good and she is pretty.
