very nice photo, I like the intricacy of the construction of the dish against the (not so) empty sky, with good contrast between the graduated contrast of the night and the ochre of the radio telescope.

I only regret that its bottom has been cut off a bit. Or seems.

yes, you ended up with a rather well exposed and balanced compo, which certainly awakes our curiosity. I think this is a lot more interesting as a photograph than if it was still. Good judgement on your part for this decisive moment happenstance.

Enfin... Presque! :-)))

Hi, John. A very simple shot, but everything comes together, between the nice hue saturation and the oblong shape of the flower. Even the highlight glare on the right adds a touch of delicacy, almost like a bow tie!

still with the gloomy sky, you had the knack to wait for the right moment to have a bit of lighting on the very elements of the pictures whose smaller size needed highlighting. Like La Defense and the great golden dome of the Invalides (hope I am right!). Yep, too small for our screen!

Great

nicely brought out, few details, but still enough to create harmony from symetry and color duality, with great framing to boot.

Merry Xmas to you, Skye. Off to Asia in 10 days!

Perfect bare shot for this season, all white as if snow was about to fall. The wires are sightly undefined, but I'd say it's more about resizing than the pix itself. You managed to put feeling in a trivial scene with a bare haphazard geometry. The idea behind taking a photo. well seen!

Reminds me of the game of mikado, where you want to retrieve one straw without destroying.....the harmony around!

It took me a while to find that penny...er, even to think about it ;-)

I am sure a professional ad designer would have a few things to say, but I find it pretty hard not to simply like it as it is. Maybe the lime slice is lacking a bit of sparkle to contrast it with the background as the glass does, and also, a mixing stick could have filled the top of the compo for an extra dynamic element.

Nice shot, anyway.

Cool shot, Paavo. i like the dematerializing of the space around him, save the water ripples, which brings out even more energy from his movement. Funny, the body half cut by the water reminds me of a centaurus.
