I have struggled with similar shots to this. I agonise over which bit should be in focus. Even though you were ar F7, the DOF is still shallow, must have been close eh. Your choice of keeping the patternation of the pettels in focus was the right choice.
The lightig looks good to me.
Wonderful colours. Flowers are hard to improve on. They looks so good naturally
Looks similar to an orange with the zest flying off.
It's an excellent capture and the colouring is a job well done.
I don't like the framing though. I prefer the image on it's own and feel that it detracts from the subject being examined. For me, I'd prefer more image and less dross.
This is a critique after all.
Nice shot, and stuff doesn't do it for me.

Magnificant image... very striking.
I don't understand the significance of colours/dress/or headband, but on a photographic front it is excellent!
Hi Tim,
very sharp inage, beautiful colours... nice capture and composition

Lovely image, excellent curves. No room for improvement in my eyes

Hello Tanja,
interesting pose from your sister... not very natural, but it is pretty nice all the same. Advice though... try not to centralise too much. Perhaps crop the image with her a little to the right of the frame so thatthe front side of her body is looking into the majority of the space more. Just a tip.

Very interesting shot here. I have been playing with shooting into the sun, but didn't quite get the defraction that you did. I imaging that the colour here really came from the coating on your lens but that's a wild guess. Do you know what happened here???
I really like the sky and the vinegretting. The positioning of the trees and the roof is cool too.

I think that this image is my favorite of yours. Well done indeed.
The scan-lines are amazing especially with the text and the quad-tone browns. Excellent job.
I must say that the image looks very familiar. Do you post on Deviant-Art?

Good experiment and it works very well. The DOF is very shallow and the valve is in perfect focus and very sharp... also the text round the rim "airline" is a good juxtaposition. It assists the viewer to "see" the subject
Good Job

orange vs. grey looks good here. The construction work, being artificial against that fantastic natural sky makes for interesting comparison.
I think that it a little too cropped or perhaps the view should be pulled back a bit to get a greater sense of what is going on.
Either way... happy snapping!
