A really interesting shot, Steve. A variety of colors, patterns and texture put together without the intention of making it work as a whole, yet you managed to notice how beautiful the sum of the elements is.
Congratulations and welcome to TL,
Mark
I agree with Tintin, the tree in the foreground should have been moved off center. Other than that it's a beautiful image. I like the inclusion of the green meadow in the foreground. It helps to enhance the feeling of being in a mountaineus terrain and ads yet another layer of color. Nice sharpness and good exposure, which lets us see highlights and shadows on the hill. Thanks for sharing,
Mark
Impressive! (Unless you had this guy domesticated first.) 200mm is not a whole lot of reach even on 1.6 crop camera. This means you must have gotten pretty close to the bird, even though it's hard to count it among the smallest ones. Besides, sunlight wasn't really in your favor and getting correct exposure is never easy in situations like this. Very good composition and sharpness. A really nice shot!
Congratulations,
Mark
Blue happens to be my favourite color, too. (Shocks, I just wrote it, then looked bellow at other posts and realized that blue must be universally loved). Blue skies combined with sunshine make it so much easier to get up in the morning and go to work. I also like very much reflections in calm waters. I guess these two reasons alone explain why I like this picture so much. I like the saturation and the fact that you decided not to frame the trees, just their reflection. Very nice picture.

Beautiful image, Luci! Wonderful colors, almost unreal. Well chosen low POV allowing to capture the leaves in the foreground. Nice, velvety effect in cascading water and great DOF thanks to long exposure time. Congratulations,
Mark
Excellent action shot. Correct exposure, great capture, good sharpness (isn't it what a costly lens should deliver?). As far as the framing is concerned, I like it being tight and any other object in the frame would have bothered me more than the cut off rear wheel of the bike.
Welcome to TL!

Nice and interesting shot, Martha. Impeccable composition, excellent choice of color tone. Very moody. I spent a few winter months in Andalucia many years ago and can't forget how sunny it was. Hard to believe it's the same area. Regards,
Mark
Great shot, Nick! Wonderful perspective. By smartly placing the human on the remote left you achieved to show the dimension of the place. Black and white works perfectly here, too.

A very good macro, Elena. The spider itself may be a little bit underexposed causing slight loss of detail. The flower dominating in the frame is too light in its tonality, therefore it must have fooled the meter into slight underexposure (as long as we want to show the spider, not the flower). Other than that the composition is correct, sharpness right on the spot. A really nice shot. Congratulations!

Hello Nyssa!
Very interesting image you got here. At first it looked to me like a double exposure of a single frame. Then I read your note and found out how you took it. Very well done. Congratulations,
Mark
(BTW, I found this through your profile on TN.)
