Tamtam!
Thanks for the trouble of waking up early! It sure pays! :) Great composition: the lamp post and statue adds a lot to the scene. And the great sky colours finishes it beautifully!
Congrats! And TFS!

I love this shot! The warm colours from the colloseum and the different tones of blue on the right! The details are there, however, I don't know if the unsharpness wenging is mentioning is from noise or just downsizing or from long exposure (and thus, camera shake)...
Anyway, congrats Merv!

Nice drops captured.
However, i don't like the dark background nor the frame. The background does not contrast enough, and I find the frame totally irrelevant. The curves are drawing my attention out of the frame and it appears to me like an eye...
From what I see, the whole frame is more like a cat's eye, with the drop being the iris... But then again, the rectangular inner frame breaks that feeling. So, i feel... lost. I don't find any sense in that picture!
I'm learning that while taking a picture, you need to be careful about your subject, while not forgetting the background. And here, I'd prefer a more uniform and lighted background than this dark, half dark half lighted one.
Your feelings while creating this picture could help me appreciate it more perhaps.

Welcome to TL!
As for your protrait, nice shot! psshh... psshh... join the dark side of the... shot... psshh... Hehe! I like the sharp transition between the dark and the light. and the lighted cheek is well placed, spot on the 1/3 lines! Congrats!
Keep posting! And thanks for sharing!
Hi Katarzyna,
I find this shot is full of emotions! The girl wanting to feed the pigeons, but a bit scared of scaring them.
Nice moment captured. On the other side, it's just a bit blurred. And the orange background, i find it a bit disturbing...
Well done and thanks for sharing!
Hi tomas,
very dramatic view, together with the B&W effect! The clouds adds a lot to it as well!
Good use of DOF and focusing! it kinda welcomes me into the frame... arg... eerie... brrrr... :)

Hi selahattin,
Very nice shot! I like the composition. I'd thought the white reflection would be a bit too distracting, but it works perfectly here!
And the monochromatic effect adds to it!
Congrats!
Thanks for sharing (TFS)!
Hi Xu,
You've hit the 1000 mark! Hehe! Maybe that's why you feel blue? :)
Nice and intriguing picture!
TFS!
Helo Pamela,
Very colourful shots! I can understand how it can be heaven for girls... :)

Marioana may say it's a speck of dust, but i think it's rather a bird or flying object.
Nice silhouettes!
However, I find the clouds crossing the frame from upper left to bottom right a bit distracting. All other lines (including the higher altitude clouds) are converging towards the sun, but then these clouds disrupts this perspective. I know you can't change it by asking them to align to your taste, but hey, that's nature! :)
Great shot Mervyn! And TFS
