Hi Frank,
I see your 3 H's :) I think it's a nice shot, and for the most part well composed. The positioning of the bridge at a point of power (rule of thirds), and way you've ensured most of the other lines in the photo point to it really help to draw the eye straight to the bridge. B&W also seems a good choice to emphasize the shape of the bridge.
The shot could possibly have been improved by taking the shot from a little further up the embankment so as to remove the bright white flowers from the foreground. My eye ends up drawn to them every time.
Quick question: what's with the downsizing in 5 steps? Don't you lose detail by resampling every step? Thanks for posting!

I really like photos showing people in surroundings that tell you more than you could tell from a facial expression. In this case the ripped posters, dented bench and discarded beer can add so much to the man's hunched posture. Well spotted!
I love the colours in this photo and the contrast of white and black. I can almost feel the scorching sun and cooling shade. At first I just stare at the sea, before my eyes wander around the photo and I realise it feels like I'm there, despite the blur. Very well post-processed.
There are several reasons I like this photo:
- The way the shot is cropped
- The texture of the water
- The colour contrast of the bird's beak against the water
Also, the bird's slightly aloof head makes me smile :)
P.S. I'm with you - water skiing sounds like a bad idea!
WellI really like the original, and I'm not sure the workshop adds anything. In the original, I really liked the way my eyes were drawn from the road out to the right and then back in again. When you shift the road from the lower left point of power, the photo loses something for me. I'm by no means an expert, but I like the scale of things as it is.
Cheers,
Rob
Echoing previous comments, I love the composition of this shot. Very well spotted, and good time to spot it - the lighting is just right. Nice title too :)
I really like the softness of this photo combined with the detail on the silhouetted horizon. I particularly like the gap in the silhouette next to the sun. Perhaps the photo would be better without the white in the border? A pure black border might look better.
Incidentally, it looks like there's a person lying on the ground at the top of the hill :)

Very nice close crop on this one, it made me laugh :) It's almost abstract!
