I do like the effect you have created here I myself are in a black background phase. Indeed you have picked a very hard task with such an intricate subject. maybe you could have cloned a bit more black background on the left hand whiskers. but all in all a really good effort

I like your presentation with this shot, although the colours are a wee bit subtle for our mate Andy....:-)

just some pp issues..with the borders I would have added it to the individual shot before coping (a) it saves time and (b) its a bit neater also I always use guides to line things up its a real help.......hey a real Crit from Mr Franklin you should feel honoured....

lovely autumnal capture, light and composition with the young tree highlighted is good, not sure how a higher iso would give an overexposed shot I never go below 200 as the difference in noise is hardly visible.
