Afzal,
Great photograph. The slight purple-color is very dramatic. Did you take the other colors out, or was it natural?

Just a note: if the photo was taken in Pakistan, why does it show up as United Kingdom?

Keep shooting,
Aaron

Kelly,
I like the photo and love the flowers. Unfortunately, the focus is off. You might try taking several photos at varying distances from the flowers next time to get the auto-focus on your digital camera to catch right depth. If you were not using the macro feature, you might try that out as well.

Quickie digital cameras, like yours and mine, are great for capturing tourist pictures and stuff you used to take with an instamatic camera. But, they need extra work to get the photos you want to hang on the wall. Try some experiments in various lighting with the manual settings and take hundreds of photographs until you understand what your camera is trying to do. Save them all to your computer and then decide what you like best and remember what settings you used. You can look at the settings under the properties of the photograph.

Good luck and keep shooting!

Kelly,
Nice photo. I have tried to take shots out of the window of a plane, but I always get a reflection or lines from the deformities of the window. Well done. I would like to point out that you used the rule of thirds that Eric so hated in nature. Everything has rules and for some reason, the rule of thirds is more aesthetically pleasing than perfect balance.
Keep shooting,
Aaron

Chris, fortunately two of your Mekong river photos were on the front page of TL. If I hadn't seen them on the front page I would have probably missed them. These are incredible settings and well photographed. The black to red to yellow combination is amazingly captured by your lens. I like this photo with the canoe over the other capture. You have an amazing eye and are by far one of the most talented photographers on this site.
Keep shooting,
Aaron

Annick,
Very nice photo. Great DOF and I like the grainy texture used in this black and white. Nice large white border, too.
Keep shooting,
Aaron

Socialism and capitalism. Interesting mix. I would have never considered it, myself.

This is a GREAT photo! Am I understanding correctly that this was set up and not a natural shot? It is incredible, either way. I hope to see more from you.
Keep shooting,
Aaron

Jim,
Nice photo. I like the lines of the path and how they continue with the rock wall. Very nice.
Keep shooting and posting!

Kelly,
This is your best photograph yet. I am very impressed and hope you continue to use your eye the way you did here. Remember the feeling you got when it was all happening and you wanted to take the picture and try to recreate it. Know that it is a good shot and take many many pictures. I look forward to seeing your next great work!
