such an amazing capture of the snail! it's a fantastic composition, i love the passionate reds against the faint blue of the sky, and the snail looks perfect against it all...
my favorite characteristic of this image is that everything seems to be made of spheres and spirals, it's a beautiful concept...
thanks for sharing : )
i can see how closely it resembles the lawnmower man character... but more than that, it reminded me of one of the more fascinating characters mentioned in the bible, 'job'
he's that guy that worshipped everyday, had rock hard faith, etc etc, and when satan asked god if he could prove how faithful job was, god told satan to toss job around for a bit and see if job would scream satan's name...
i think it reminds me of the job from the bible more because of the apparent expression and the way you're looking at your empty hands...
excellent shot! extraordinarily well done and very expressive. thanks for sharing : )
that's an amazing rendition of the 'afterlife' theme, and i think it identifies very well with the theme... great job with that!
the photograph is exceptionally clean, with a good DOF showing off the textures and colours of the flower and doing justice to it's beauty...
well done, Amy : )
ps: @ pouring_rain... it's already negated, in it's original size and centered on my desktop ; ) it's perfect!
beautiful shot, and the title fits perfectly! the colours give it a very alien look, when couple with those textures and shapes, and that drop of water is icing on the cake... i only wish it was a little sharper... have you tried sharpening?
great job though! thanks for sharing : )
i love the ghostly effect of the mist against the trees... kodaikanal has a beautiful, somewhat eery ambience as you move further into the hills... maybe that's owing to the number of suicides that take place there... anyways, this is a good capture of that ambience! good work : )
you're COMPLETELY correct! it's a crisis here in south india (i'm not too familiar with the north, although i've found mumbai to be very straightforward and upfront with nominal charges)... i live in chennai, and here people charge 20 rupees to take you even 500 meters away (minimum charge)... the only way to manage anything is to be rude with them, preferably in the native tongue, but i suppose that's not a luxury many people here can afford. single men arguing with the drivers provoke an argument that might escalate, single women just get stared at and maybe teased inappropriately...
good portrait of the evil intention in this person's eyes... i'll try to get some more shots of these crooks in khaki for TL
thanks for sharing!
amazing composition, i love the colours you've managed to bring out, and the scene is perfect! i did'nt know mahabalipuram was so cloudy! (then again i was'nt in chennai in december during the rains)
very nice image! thanks for sharing : )
amazing shot... i love the detail you've managed to bring out, it reminds me of a mechanical nipple of sorts lol
great colours and amazing clarity! thanks for sharing : )
gorgeous image, love the POV and the detailing in the eyes, those blue rings around the deep greens give them a lot of depth and character
your pets look very healthy! good job with taking care of them, and thanks for sharing : )

congratz james for the beautiful image and even better concept. The only issue i see with this image however is the smudge tool looking like it starts from the middle of your forehead instead of your eyes. Ofcourse its an easy fix with the clone tool. :)
excellent work :)
