Thanks!

I agree with your comment about the tripod. I did something similar to this in a shot I posted on TE. It adds that sort of "I really was there" element. Maybe someone should start a collection of shots like this, like a scavenger hunt. I like the soft light here. This would be an ideal location for portrait work, especially if you can re-create the lighting values!

Regards!

Hi Steve.

This is a well composed shot. I love a good cityscape. I haven't looked through your other work to see what else you have, but I want to take a closer look at this shot with you. Exposure is good, lines are good, and the title fits well with the sign-age in the foreground. My ONLY question is if your camera allows for control of the Kelvin scale of light temperature as this would allow you to reduce the amount of reds in the image and create one more along the lines of what the eye would see at night. But on the other hand, perhaps this is what you were going for. It's a good photo.

Hi David!
Nice to see a fellow Salt Lake photographer! I like the fisheye effect here. I have shot this interior also and found it a difficult place to have free of PEOPLE! Saturday afternoon about 3 o-clock is good if you want no crowds, although in your shot they add good character. I did an HDR shot of the east stair going up to the supreme court side of this rotunda and have posted it on TrekEarth under my smt2 username. I noticed your shot of the same staircase. It's really good! Great shot here David!
