i've always loved photographs through windows
, however to be honest this is not the best i've come across as yet. i'm speaking as someone who sees the world in black and white...

1. the glass here has more of a creepy effect than anything else. i cna't explain why i feel this.. maybe the effect is kind of accentuated around her eyes.. hmmm not sure..

2. i'd have done this one in black and white. since i love the application of chiaroscuro and i think it'd be quite fitting here. i's have overexposed it a bit more, to get have the light seeping inside through the window.

3. if not the above, then i'd have liked to have brought in some more context. i think this needed to be taken from maybe atleast a foot or 2 away from the window.

going back to my first point about getting a creepy feeling.. maybe it's because you were 2 close to her and this particulr glass pane is not suitable for what you tried to capture.

if you ever find a dirty/dusty window, then shoot through it capturing your subject with the sun on the opposite side. you imght like the result.. you could try it in black and white

before i leave.. here is a window photograph by one of my favourite photographers.

take care :)

it seems like you have your hands on your face :) and try to loosen up a little will you?? while taking the photographs..

maybe he had stolen a flower for the girl cat next door and was laughing because you hadn't noticed that a flower was missing

oooh so you're back.. even i've come here after a couple of months or so and now it's strange reading ( in different places) that you've to study. hehehhee
take care :)

p.s. what have you done to your eyes??????????? have you shown them to the eye doc?

haha even i have a confession

i've only seen people stand this way ( in a kind of a crooked way :)) in comics.. you're the first real life person who i'm seeing this way.. or maybe the first who i've noticed standing this way.. , the bend is soooo prominent in the shadow you should make sure that you always have a kind of a support on your right side, so that your upper body does not fall off one day hehe
ok so whare's the self portrait that you're raving about on trekearth ????

also your information on the shutter time is a litle warped hehe
take care

i have no clue when i'll be back on this site

your exposure on jessica simpson seems to be much better than on the soldier
any particular reason??? ;)

wow alexander
this is one of the best photographs ive seen on this site
the composition is very good
but what gets me the most is the overall mood with the darkish black and white and the sort of a decisive moment that has been caught here
the only thing that i dont like much is the square framing
i think if you'd shot this one horizontally (as in the 35 mm format) you would have given this some sort of a space ...
you could have position these ladies on say the right side and added more of the scenery on the left. even if the scenery was in a blur, it would have changed the atmosphere considerably and for the better in my opinion
if you had kept the ladies on the left you could have got more of the the other side
where you choose to keep the ladies will also make a difference because in the former version this girl would have been looking into the open space, while in the latter away from it. so the overall mood in the photograph would have been different
great photograph on the whole
take care :)

p.s. ive given it a workshop to make it look like one of ara guler's photographs but havent quite managed to achieve that

hello fusun.....
i just came across this one. nice post after a long time.
love your tone here.. you always manage to get a nice tone in your b&w . great capture
the spectacles lying next to sinan's feet give the effect that he's had a hard day's work and now he and his bunny have to rest hehe :)
take care and i hope i get to see more of you here and on te

this has to be a woman . if it's not then i have to go kill myself :)
i think this photograph doesnt really do justice to your friend. i mean i dont know how to explain.... :(
it's just tooo plain.... if you want to capture the sensuality and beauty in her.
im giving you a workshop. i dont know if you'll like it.
but i think this photograph needs to be much more subtle than this
i think you have to be more delicate while taking nudes
anyway im not able to explain too well
so you can see the workshop and see what i mean
take care :)

haaa
cool shot eric . too bad i can't see your shhhhhhhbaldshhhhhhhh head hehe :)
this is a pretty good shot eric, your composition is quite nice and that tooo considering you took this yourself .
i would however recommend you to do nudes in black and white . i know i see the world in black and white and im biased towards it most of the times, but with black and whites you can play so much more with the shadows and shadows help in bringing out the sensuality of a human body. the mood in te body language is so much clearer in black and white
i dont know if im making any sense :)
take care
