Just a little too soft but i like the pose and the model. Nice portrait work and really a lovely expression.

hi Janek

Really nice calm reflection to show such a tight crop of the arch bridge and impressive composition.

hi Oana

I think you would re-shoot this one with blue hour and show your talent, with a tripod. Say 5pm local time with f/20 and aperture mode? Spot meter not at the lighted tree but at the building tower at left, carefully avoid the people passing through or passing by as ghost shadows.

I like this version better than the earlier post because it has better focus and sharpness and foreground people as subject of interest. Perhaps if the original is not cropped at the building tower, it is even more attractive. For f/2.8 and 1second is not the best setting, but the night features are warm and the impression is good.

A lovely sunrise or maybe it is just pre-dawn moment. What a nice view from your living room! A bit of grain but overall it is a nice work.

I like the stare and your tight crop which somehow forces me to depart from my usual preference of the whole face. Good lighting but I suppose DOF could be enhanced by higher f/stop because the eyes are in focus but the face elsewhere and the cover is OOF just a little.

Despite so, I still like the image as composed. She is a lovely model.

hi Oana

With just a compact camera and you show me this great light in a cathedral with such clarity and color tones in this excellent composition and exposure [well maybe the light is meant to be overexposed to show its impact and awe], I truly find this image to be inspiration.

What were you doing with a compact camera? At 1/6s handheld? That is incredible capture! I could not get this quality even with dSLR, honestly speaking. Trust me, I have tried inside St Paul's Cathedral in Australia with Nikon D700 and I failed miserably, an image not even worth a look. So I pale when I see this great piece of work from you. I would choose a title of 'Shine my moment' instead of Rays, but that is purely my preference :)

Salut and bravo! Excellent work again from you, Miss Oana.

hi Oana

Bună dimineaţa şi vă mulţumesc foarte mult pentru această dăruire grijuliu şi darul din Romānia.

Yes, I am delighted to see this white leaf specie that is very new to me, set against a good DOF on a green background. Exposure is well done and I can imagine that you were looking hard for a subject composition, yet you were able to pick a beautiful part of the garden with this view. If I am a greedy person, I would wish to see the sun's backlighting effect on this, it will be terrific, will it not? Perhaps even with a little sparkle. And if I am more greedy person, I would further wish there be a little rain and some rain drops on these leaves, then the sun comes bursting out with backlighting effect. There, my wish for a perfect macro.

But I understand it is now winter and that is impossible wish to come true, maybe in the spring time, yes, and you shoot again? But I may not see a white leaf color then, right?

I like your original post and I am playful so I post a workshop because I think of a smiley face. This will be my last workshop :) except for the turning up smile, it is no different to your original, that is what I think.

No grain and not even need color saturation, this is very natural and I believe that is why you choose this composition and abstract view of a dream and hope. And that is how I would like to think of this kind dedication from you, thank you.

May I wish you again, Merry Christmas and a white one too :), followed by Happy 2010 New Year. I can imagine, too, that you are thinking of a photo to post for the New Year Day 1.1.2010. May you have a great picture for that milestone.

bonjour Michel

That light is very special, when I see the upper layer of white clouds sandwiched. Very impressive tone.

Was it due to sharpening? I seem to observe some effect on the water?

Merry Xmas

hi Pal

I agree with you, this place looks great with the clean sandy beach and clear water. The mountain slope in the far end is always a good backdrop and you have used it well here. Good choice of DOF and sharpness for this pleasant scenery.

Good work.

Wow! This is a superb macro of pink rose and really excellent post for me to put 3 special lines, but I understand I can only write ordinary 3 lines, and say great work! Congratulations.
All the best from Borneo and Merry Xmas! Happy 2010 New Year!
