Nice location. I like the composition but the blurring you used to make the rocks stand out detracts from the photo (for me). You might have used a vignetting effect to slightly darken the perimiter of the photo while leaving the rocks bright. I think that would have created the same effect wile allowing you to leave the entire shot in focus.
TFS.

Great shot. The GND would also seem to hold back the top of the foreground rock. Am I correct that you were able to bring that out with a CP in NX?
If I ever get to Scotland again, I'd like to just follow you around to some of these locations and learn from you. ;-)

Good use of the GND filter. I have also had some success with bracketing images and using HDR filter process in CS2 but it's so much nicer and sharper done in-camera like this. Great shot.

The underexposed tree trunks and limbs really add to the feeling of this shot.

Superb photo! Clairity and detail are right on.

I'll really have to study this and will count myself an expert when I can even come close to the level of results you have achieved with this.

As a study in depth of field it is good. As an abstract image it will appeal to many people but as a Nature shot without any further explanation it leaves something to be desired in my feeling.

Intruiging photo. I get a sense of an Eskimo Nativity from this scene.
The stray lights in the background are a little distracting. Perhaps they are a star and an angel and I just can't make them out properly.

Superb composition, clarity and color. (But it DOES make me want to sneeze.)
The black frame helps accentuate the colors.
