| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I traveled from Togo to Benin with a Togolese family. It was the sisters first time to leave the country and be on a boat. They were quite excited and loved to pose for photographs. I love the matching dresses they wore.
History of Ganvie: To escape slave traders, people buillt a city on the lake at Ganvie; the water became the protective fortress wall. It is difficult to sneak up on a town on water. To the Tofinu people, "Ganvie" translates to "those who found peace at last." Some call it the African "Venice"-- but there are NO streets of pavement. |

Very nice portrait. Great looking sisters. Beautiful colors.
Hi Adrienne
It's a sweet shot, although there are issues here with the quality - was it scanned? A great deal of sharpness has been lost, I feel.
Lovely photo though

Excellent, the standout effect of the green of the children's clothes really makes this a great shot :)
