Re-Post...

Recently I lost all my photos on TL due to pc issues. So, I am going to try and re-post some that most of my TL friends seemed to enjoy. There is no need for additional (positive) comments....just enjoy and feel free to critique to improve!! :-)

In 2004, I had the opportunity to travel to Africa and experience an African Safari. What an amazing opportunity and journey it was!
The cheetah is the fastest known land mammal on earth.
They are the oldest of the "big cats" in Africa.
Botswana aims to preserve the nation's cheetah population. We fear they are sadly racing towards extinction.

Hi Hurricane

A superb wildlife shot of the cheetah. The direct eye contact works well here. Sorry to hear you lost your photos. Good framing & sharpness. Tfs!

Hi Hurricane,
Really great...
You know cats are my weakness i really love them...
Here you captured the cheetah in the grass field very well i guess it is preparing for the attack and is simply invisible for its prey...
Nicely captured...
TFS...

Hi Terry, great shot! Love the way you've got him in a very neutral, camouflaging setting. Must be amazing to see these animals in the wild.

HI
The spots through the grass, easy to see on the photo but not sure when on location.
Great look he is giving you, as if to say that is close enough.
Excellent shot of the beautiful animal.
Bummer loosing your photos, if they were mostly like this one its a great loss.

Hi Hurricane,

Wow! . . with focal length 60mm, it's too close . . definitely it is watching you with this distance . . You did great capturing this fastest animal on earth . .
I don't have courage to shot it. .
Great shot my dear friend . .

Tfs,
Tjutjut

Lovely shot of this beautiful cat.. I've spent many years and many trips to various parts of Africa and never tire of seeing the game... This is a lovely sharp shot, and he/she's looking straight at you.. Nice capture..

David

Hello Alley. Thank you for your nice answer.
Let me talk about this one.
When I look to the photo info about exposure, focal, etc... I realise there were realy a lot of light. So That was a good idea to chose such a high speed for this picture. It wasn't necessary but it have permitted to have less depth of field (f3,7). What emphasizes subject.
That why I like this photo.
Whith focal lenght=63mm, you where not very far from him. ;)

prywitanne Hurricane!
good shot!lovely colours!nice compo!=)
ALiaksandr

jan

What can I add that hasn't already been said - sharp details, well saturated colours and well exposed in the bright light and a good POV to capture him face on like this. A superb wildlife shot.
Thanks for sharing
Mark
