Another fantastic sunset in Botswana. This one was taken on the Makgadigadi pans at a place called Kukonje Island, one of two rather large "islands" with vegetation located on the largest salt pans in Africa.
Two couples were walking towards the sunset and I experimented with the composition to get the sun setting behind them and to get the colouration of the clouds just right to reflect the romantic mood. It just so happens that one couple is making the most of the romantic sunset...
The dust trail towards the right of the picture was left by a "quad biker" and adds to the ambiance.
This picture was cropped slighty to get is to fit the rule of thirds.
As I have stated I am quite partial to the Botswana sunsets, and this is a good example why! |
