[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It is raining in Paris today, I miss the sun and heat of Africa.
So I chose to post this landscape of an island, one of the places in this world I love so much, the island of Santo Antao in Cape Verde islands.

This road, a very dangerous one, crosses the island and brings you from the harbour of Porto Novo in the south where you arrive with the ferry to the north where the main towns are located such as Ribeira Grande, Paul and Ponta do Sol.
You can see these towns in my travelogue dedicated to Cape Verde where I traveled in January 2006.

Pays pauvres mais qui ont gardé d'une certaine façon leur honneur.
Chez nous c'est disparu déjà depuis bien longtemps, on l'a encore vu ces dernières élections.
Le fric détruit plus qu'il n'arrange les choses.
Je vois déjà dans la tête un dessin qui représenterait bien cette chose. Ils sont à quatre pattes, se donnent des coups de becs pour pouvoir ramasser le billet qui traine.
Drôle de société qu'est la notre.

Typical road of these islands, very well presented, with good detail.
But the image seems blueish; did you try some postprocessing?

Nicely composed deep perspective. Texture of the road has been captured in good details. Lateral gradient of the horrizon is interesting which can be calibrated in relation with the surface of the road. Nice shot.

I like this picture couse it brings back great feeling and memories of freedom and seaside and advantures...
