For such an old photo it's not that bad. The exposure is pretty good, maybe just a little clean up in Photoshop would make it much better, thanks for sharing.

Hi Sylvie,
I love this photo, and the story behind it. You have a very smart father, and the shot really expresses the wonderful mood of the French 60's. I will be in Paris next weekend, I am really hungry for its mood... By the way I was there 5 years ago on the way back from Marocco, another african relation :)
He is like the young Yves Montand, hey lovely!

it must be a precious and sweet memory for u,Sylvie...
and from the photo,your father looks so handsome and smart,and his little daughter was lovely and pretty,what attracted me most was the same direction they looked at,and seemed to be listening to an interesting story...

C'est fou, j'ai aussi vécu quelque temps au Cameroun avec mes parents, un peu aussi en RCA, à Bangui, j'avais 7-8 ans. On te reconnaiat bien sur la photo (d'après une petit image en intro). Un air pas trop rassuré et en questionnement déjà? Ton père lui l'est. Vous avez les même yeux. C'est une très belle photo malgré toutes ces années .... on ne les compte plus.

C'est "amusant" de voir surgir comme ça une ancienne photo. j'imagine que les souvenirs et les émotions débordent.
C'est une belle photo, un n&b précieux dans tous les sens du terme. Dans ce cas là, il est inutile de cloner les petites tâches.

This photograph looks as if it is a movie out take. Very handsome and sophisticated man with the narrow tie, cuff links and well tailored shirt.

The object against the dark background gives this photo some added context as well.
