[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi Everyone. I'm continuing my experiments with creating pseudo Infrared pics in CS3. With this one before following the steps In This Video I reduced the saturation by 40%. As with yesterdays posting I added a small amount of Blue to the sky using Digital Film Tools Grad filter.

Comments and critiques comparing this conversion to a genuine infrared shot would be gratefully recieved. Points are of little or no importance to me.

I like what your doing, this sort of imaging is interesting for the way the picture changes the way you look at it...colour would look like a snap shot, this has subtle details to the clothing the men are wearing, it sort of gives it a 3d look. The only thing I would change is to give it a "vignette" to frame it ...

Egypt... hm... my dream to go and see!!!
Nice choice for presentation, always everybody makes some pictures in famous places like pyramids etc.
This is some sort of reporter's shot, nice smiling people!!!
This quasi infrared effect is amazing - i like it a lot and thank so lot for informative notice.

Very interesting experiment although I would prefer straight light. Somehow the effect is making this shot looking a little like desaturated yet also faded touch.

The element of 3 is well used in this good expressions on their faces.

Hello Phil,

Like desaturation, your experiment encourages people to look at the photographs in a diffrent way. It is not possible to just give a cursory look, the photograph has to be studied.
This is the first time I have viewed your shot and I found myself looking at every little detail to absorb the 'changes'. Although the skin changes are most apparent, I found myself returning to the interesting shadows on the train!
Very nicely composed and, as someone has already noted, very much like a journalistic shot.
