[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the Sinai desert. The one that Lawrence of Arabia crossed to get to Cairo. And the one that Moses crossed going in the other direction with his people. And the busses you see are full of tourists on their way to visit St. Catherine Monastery, which can be found in the middle of the desert, where it has been for a thousand years. Allegedly at the place where Moses saw the burning rosebush and where he climbed Mount Sinai to collect the tablets containing the ten commandments from God. The monastery is still functioning but it is the daily swarm of tourists that make up the spirit of the place. And it is almost a mandatory pilgrimage to visit the only cultural heritage place on the Sinai peninsula when you spend the rest of the week on a beach or diving in the Red Sea.

Technically I cropped clarified, saturated and noisefiltered before resizing and sharpening.

Amazing shot. Incredible landscape. I would have preferred an empty road in the picture as that would fit with the desolate area.
