[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Portrait of the man from the hotel, where I stayed. He used to be photographer of models for magazines but he had to change the job for money for living.

He helped a lot by shooting from the roof of the hotel (I will post later), he was so happy to hold my camera.

Thanks for comments and visit.

Wow, so he was a photographer himself! He looks very Egyptian ;P I like the flat, dark background that makes the man pop out (what is his name?). His pose and smile are wonderful, he looks very natural and comfortabel in front of the camera. The detail and clarity is excellent. Only thing that bothers me is the type of lighting used from your camera flash. It drowns out the features and makes things look a little flat. Where were you two sitting? Was there any other light source? I think a portraiture-style lighting (with some farther lighting from the front-side, a little bit behind him, and a fill coming from the top at an angle) would have really done the trick. Now, one is not always in control of the lighting circumstances (my recent self-portraits are a good example of this :P) but I think that using the flash only takes away somewhat from the photo. Great idea though, and the composition and balance is perfect with him "emerging" from the bottom right, and some negative space at the left. TFS!

Hello Lenka !

I love the expression captured. You certainly had a good time with this gentleman . Just looking at him , his attitude shows happiness and confidence.

The cigarette would be better if you could had some smoke to it (^_^).

I like the composition here. Good light management in these circumstances !
Bravo!
Robert
