[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Nile is the longest river in the world, stretching north for approximately 4,000 miles from East Africa to the Mediterranean. Studies have shown that the River (Iteru, meaning, simply, River, as the Egyptians called it) gradually changed its location and size over millions of years. The Nile flows from the mountains in the south to the Mediterranean in the north. Egyptians traveling to other lands would comment on the "wrong" flow of other rivers.

This photo was taken as my wife and I where drinking hibiscus tea and resting on the top deck of our river boat. The tour guide calls it a cruise ship but the size of this river boat is too small compared to the cruise ships that ply the Pacific and Mediterranean. I was looking towards the west bank when I took this photo.

I do not know in what State or Province the city of Luxor is in so if anyone knows please inform me.

Some information on the Nile above were taken from Wikipedia.

Like off the good ol' times of photography, Andre. Calm scenery at the borders of this huge stream. Amazing layers from fore- to background :)

Hello Andre,
Pleasant moonrise mood is captured over the Nile!
A well composed presentation and I like inclusion of the typical boat...
Good tonality in the black and white!
