Sunburst At Karnak Temple
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Hi. Taken in the Great Hypostyle Hall at Karnak Temple. The Hall was built by Seti I, the sunken relief was added by Ramses II.
We set the focus on the Cartoche of Ramses II,used a Cokin Diffractor filter and pointed skyward moved myself into a position where the sun just peeped over the roof beam and fired away. The resulting shot was as expected dark. We then scanned the negative. Opened it in Adobe Paintshop where Image ---> Adjustments ---> Equalise lightend the lower part of the shot. We hope you like it? |

Good use of the filter, interesting effect. Good to see how this filter may make the photo more attractive.
Different effect - TFS
That stylised sunbeam is a filter on the len or a processing? I like the decomposition of light on it! It bring some mystic mood on it!

Hi Philip,
I like this. You have managed to geta very unique effect here. I would have reduced the brightness a bit. But that is minor. Great job.

Awesome shot. I really like the Cokin filter set for affordabilty although sometimes it is difficult to get pleasing results. You did a great job here. A little noise removal would be helpful but otherwise this image is great.
