This would have been an absolute winner if the depth of field had allowed the cross to be sharp as well, and if the man in the background hadn't been so underexposed. Very nice detail on the robe.

This lighting is really gorgeous. It has so many warm tones and it creates so much mood that suits the subject matter. Really good focus and detail on the priest himself although I wish the cross were in-focus too. Nice highlights on the right edges of the decorated cross and I love the contrasts and shadows on the priest's face. Excellent framing and strong composition. The gold in the patterns on his outfit and that of the cross unify the whole shot. Good dark background for everything to pop out. Mmm, I am thinking perhaps the title of this shot might be a little insensitive to those who are religious Christians (I am not at all but the title could be interpreted that way). But really beautiful capture, I would love to visit Ethiopia someday. TFS!
