Man, this one could give me nightmares. The shadow on her cheeks, sparkles in her eye and the fly inside that circle - all combined they have this mystical, almost satanic impact on the viewer. Its a unique portrait, very expressive and even suggestive to the viewer. It reminds me of faces I have seen in Mel Gibson's 'Passion'.

Very good, excellent portrait.

An intense portrait indeed. The look of desperation you allude to in your note is evident in her gaze, and emphasised by the darkness of the surroundings. The photo has much character, and leaves the viewer wondering what she may be thinking about, and what such a woman's life must be.

Life is diffeent in third world countries.Nepal and India have no heat, much of the world must have no heat. We are lucky in more modern countries to have more material comfort. I have been without heat for months traveling,(and even in my own home in the US). I feel so sad for her, but hopefully she has a life rich in other ways, a loving family, her God, freinds, special occasions. Very nice portrait.
