In the walled city of Harar you will find many tailors on the street - it's very bright there and they can talk to ach other during the work. They mostly use materials smuggled from Somaliland as there are not enough produced in Ethiopia. Contraband of cloths to Ethiopia is quite common and punished very heavy as well.
Only man can be a tailor. |

A little confusing and crowded compowise, but a very interesting everyday life scene. Good you have took it and posted it. Great note.
excellent street photo Maciej :)
this is my kind of photo :), good details showing daily life
good work
This reminds me so much of the tailors I made business with in Senegal! They are mostly middle-aged men like this and use simple sewing machines. Great lighting and a wonderful array of facial expressions. I love the colors of the wall and the sewing machine. The background with the overexposure (where the tailor's face is in teh background) is a bit distracting but otherwise it's a wonderful photo!
