I have just returned from a teaching assignment in the small african country of The Gambia. I spent my spare time, wantering around the shanty towns close to my hotel, photographing the local people. This little boy stood out amongst the hundreds of children i met. He seemed to be longing for something: love, attention, foood etc...
Used flashgun and importantly polerising filter to cut down on too much light reflecting from his skin. Turned to bw and increased contrast +8.
Have lots more to share from the gambia. |
