| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| As you can see, I'm recently returned from Kenya. This was taken at 135mm (202mm) center-weighted metering and - 0.67 ev with a beanbag mounted camera. My photographic experiences there have proved to me that the most useful accessories for a safari trip are a good beanbag and a good tripod for times when dismounted from the vehicle. I took a good monopod this trip but believe me it's worthwhile leaving unnecessary clothing (anything other than a few pairs of shorts, T shirts and maybe one long sleeved and one pair of long trousers) at home and taking a tripod instead. I thank you for your critiques received during my absence and I will catch up as soon as possible. |

Hi Vic
This presentation is perfect. I am waiting for next from this unusual place. And thanks for the note. You are right, a stand is an important thing on such an expedition.

Hi, Vic!
I love the perspective of this shot! You captured it straight on with the elephant in the foreground, and the rest of them in the background add a wonderful unified atmosphere to the photo. Your sharpness is very impressive, and the lighting is nice and natural. You must have had a wonderful time in Kenya!
TFS, good job!

Well as Elephant pictures go it is not bad :o).. great detail with natural colours, I would have cropped down to slightly above the distant hill to get rid of the bland sky and maybe added a touch of contrast ..
