Bonjour Adrasto.
Lovely story with a Happy end, haha.
I've been there, right on the spot.! WITH the Cousin of the latest King, Idra, also his name.
Talking about Cyrene and Apollonia, in Libya.
I was for work in Libya in 1985/86.
Have some old analoge pictures of it, aswell a booklet about the history of it.
Not sure wich pictures I uploaded here on tl, have to look myself.

A lovely story of all the adventures of St. George, because he was also the patron-saint of the city of Amersfoort where I grew up under the dutch name St. Joris and a cathedral is named after him.
