I guess I have to start a travelouge with those Westafrica photos I've postet yet.

This image was made on the first stage in the Sahara. We searched for a nice place to bushcamp and found this peaceful tree. When the sun went down i did this shot, a few minutes later a boy at the age of 6 or 7 arrived with his camel, on the way to relatives.

Our guide and friend talked to him and he explained, that he will be at his relative's house in about 2 days. He also told us, that this tree is a waypoint and we recognized, that he changed his direction there (he came from the upper right corner and went by, following the footsteps on the middle-left)

PP:cropped, warmer colours, more blue and red, changed contrast, framed.

hello hello martin!
super captured!!!! everting is okay on this photo!!!
have a nice day man!

Well, isn't that interesting?! A waypoint, huh? I just can't come to grips with how many different kinds of lives are lived in this world. And they're so foreign to me, that I love it when someone shows me something like this on TL - it brings me out of my little insulated world!

Nice shot! Could you have gotten a little more of the "waypoint's" shadow maybe? I find myself wanting to see more! :)

Nice shot, Martin! Great composition. I like the way the sun goes through the tree. Nice contrast between nature and technology with the cars in the picture. Having the camel in the shot would have been a bonus! Excellent!

Beautiful postcard of the Sahara, Martin. Perfect light with a great composition; we almost feel we are there with you on this trip. I love the colours and the tree on the left really adds a lot of the composition. Well done!

I just like lonely trees :) Nice shot and nice shadow-work with lovely warm colours.
Good job.
