[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
To join John in his request for family postings. This is a re-post. I love this photo of my 2 boys. They look very different now. But I thought of starting with this one. Updates to follow.

5 years ago in Mauritius. I like the inquisitive look on Garreth's face and the content look on Rian's face. As long as Rian's got food he's happy. Their 1st time in a more upper class restaurant. You could never take them anywhere but the local steakhouse (too messy and loud for anywhere else) The drinks with the pineapples and umbrellas fascinated them. Typical children, with all the stunning dishes on the menu, they had chips and bread.

It is and old photo that was scanned. Added the frame, sharpened etc.

Charming photo Annette, I think I will post another photo of my grand daughter soon. I bet they look different now.
Thanks for sharing.
Michael.

Nice image, but the problem with indoor photo's are the light fall-off. This causes the hair and dark clothing to blend with the background. Pitty you could not have included some more ambient light in the background by means of a slowerer shutterspeed or some flashes on slave units.

MY DEAREST DEAREST ANNETTE !!!

Hi Annette

A superb dual portrait, with excellent sharpness, dof & lighting. Perhaps I'd burn in the strong fg highlights a little? Good work!

Garreth looks like he's looking for more food, whereas Rian got enough. Good family shot Annette, and photos do bring back good memories. Thank you for showing us your boys! I must look for some old ones to rephotograph and post of my 4 sons and 1 daughter one day. it will be fun looking!!
cheers
Janice

What a charming photo, Annette. I like all the foreground elements - the glasses, silverware, plates, etc., and especially the blue umbrella. You've captured a nice moment here. And they look like great kids. Well done.
